The \u201cJuventus Stadium\u201d was born from the partial renovation of the existing “Delle Alpi” Stadium (designed for the 1990s World Cup, by Arch. Sergio Hutter, Prof. Ing. Francesco Ossola and Prof. Ing. Arch. Massimo Majowiecki).<\/p>\n

The shape of the Stadium is designed on the basis of the aerodynamic behavior in the wind tunnel; the profile of the partially transparent roofing and the external shell of curvilinear aluminum slats, together with the two \u201cA-mast\u201d of approximately 90m high, represents a reference of the Turin skyline.<\/p>\n

The “bowl” and the stands are completely renovated (from 70,000 to 42,000 spectators), and are located just 7.5 m from the pitch. The material used for the construction comes partly from the previous “Delle Alpi” Stadium; solution aimed at reducing environmental impact and construction costs.<\/p>\n

Making a large metal structure lightweight is the challenge overcome also thanks to the 92m high \u201cA-Mast\u201d: during the construction phase they play the role of tilting trestles, capable of lifting the entire roofing system in a few days, drastically reducing times and costs; and in the definitive phase they play the role of permanent and load-bearing structure, supporting the entire cable-stayed suspended roof.<\/p>\n
